This is one of our favorite festivals in the Altoona PA area. The school aged children usually get to go the Friday before the festival opens. They have programs indoors for the kids to enjoy.
The festival is held Saturday and Sunday with various forms of art and entertainment. Outdoors are different craft booths with a nice variety of vendors selling everything from flags to glasswares to items made from stone. There is usually a nice number of vendors selling handmade jewelry, garden and patio items and items for in the house and kitchen.
Entertainment is constant throughout the festival. We listened to Felix and the Hurricanes while we walked through the food court. And speaking of food, this festival offers a nice selection of food.
From hot dogs and hamburgers to crepes, chinese food and funnel cakes, this is one of the best festivals for food we've seen. The variety was great!
